I filled out 1099-misc on home and business, how is it filed and how is it reported on my return

This is about deductions. After I filled out info in this program it asked me to save/print for my records nothing else. How does it get to IRS, no instructions.   Also how do I report it on my return?

Are you asking about preparing a 1099Misc to give out to someone you paid?
Or entering one you received?

This is for reporting 1099Misc income you received.
The 1099Misc fills out schedule C for self employment business income.  Schedule C is part of your personal 1040 return.  Did you enter your expenses for it?  You can switch to Forms in the upper right to see the actual forms.

You can either mail your return or efile it.  You have to keep going through the File Tab to the very end and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button.  In the Desktop program it is currently 24.99 to efile a state return or you can print and mail state for free.  Watch the screens closely.  To pay the state fee you can use a credit card or have it deducted from your federal refund for an EXTRA 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge (44.99 in California).  So use a credit card!  See my screen shot.
