Mac Studio M2 Max chip with Sonoma 14.6.1 and the App installs, but gets stuck in Verifying state

I installed it and ran the program and it just pops up a box and says:

"Please wait while we verify everything is up to date..." and it never leaves.

I tried force quitting it and re-installing it. Same thing.

I tried restarting my computer and then running it. Same thing.

The Activity Monitor shows it is not responding.

It has not prompted me for a License Code yet.
