Late Updates to Turbo Tax

Today is 7/3/2025.  I opened Turbo Tax for 2024 because I wanted to look at something.  It told me I had updates and forced me to apply them.

I have two questions:

1-Why are there still updates to the program this late in the year (my return has already been file AND accepted by the IRS)

2-How do I know if those updates now require me to file an amended return

Updates often include security and bug fixes. Compare your tax liability before and after the update. If no change you don’t have to do anything.
