Lapse in TurboTax Use

I did not use TurboTax for the last 2 years of filing since it was done through a third party. I have access to the paperwork but dont have access to any electronic version of the taxes to upload to TurboTax (e.g. a .tax file). What is the best way to get started?

1. From scratch?

2. From a .tax file I used for an older filing using TT? e.g. 2020?

Start fresh from scratch.  You can only transfer from the last prior year, not earlier returns.
