Thank You for your patience
A common reason for receiving a 1099-DIV form is because some of the stocks you own pay dividends, or a mutual fund you invest in made a capital gains distribution to you during the year. It is possible that you might also receive US government related funds that are tax exempt. You won’t file the 1099-DIV with the Internal Revenue Service, but you will need the information it reports when preparing your tax return.

This issue has not been fixed. I have the same problem, with the online version (which should be updated automatically).
Please fix these issues in the online version ASAP and let us all know when it is really resolved.
If you happen to have dividends where there is no amount in Box 1, Form 1099-DIV, then try putting a zero in that box to clear the 'Needs Review'. This worked on a test performed earlier today.
Please update the information if you continue to have the error and provide details about the forms causing the error.
On my 1099-DIV, I have a non-zero amount in box 1a. A zero explicitly in box 1b. In fact, all other boxes in the form provided by the financial institution contain 0.00. I have tried inputting into Turbo Tax with 0s and without (leaving blank). Neither works.
Part of the dividends are from US Govt obligations, so I have checked that box and supplied the amount corresponding to Federal income.
In summary: it is still broken.
Try this work around and see if it works. In the main Dividend entry screen, click the box "My form has info in other boxes" to open up the entire 1099-Div screen and enter your state in the state in box 13 then continue. Go through and enter you US Govt Divs portion then do your review and see is you get the error. You may need to delete the 1099-Div and re-enter.
I can't add the state, because I live in a state w/ no income taxes, so my state does not even appear in the options.
However, when I went back into the online form today, it was no longer complaining about the 1099-DIV forms. Clearly a patch was pushed out to the online TurboTax ...finally. That's the good news.
That bad news is that TurboTax is now telling me (incorrectly) that I deferred some SocialSecurity taxes. My W2 shows that I paid exactly the right amount (box 4 is 6.2% of box 3). Sigh...another bug. Other users report the same issue online.
Disappointing to see so many errors in TT this year; never had this type of problem in the past.
Yes, looks like there was an update to the online version and my "needs review" problem disappeared. but now also have the deferred Social Security taxes bug - which some say has been fixed, but not in the on-line version.
This is the worst TurboTax experience I've ever had.
@LinaJ2020 I'm having this same issue saying 1099-DIV needs review. I don't have a 1099 DIV and didn't last year either. The form does not appear in the Tax Tools either so I can't delete it there. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you!
