I signed in on my account but I'm filing jointly with my husband. I just put all my information in. Does he need to sign on his account now and put his in?

It would be nice, but unfortunately we can't merge information between accounts due to security protocols.

If you each have an account, have a discussion to see which of you have more information to individually pull up automatically from last year. 

Filing on that account and adding in the other spouse with less information manually the first time will be easier, and next year your information will self populate as well.
