It will not update my phone number.It tries to send the code to a different number no matter what I do

Did all of that went through security checks still won't change anything

You need to have it updated by the Intuit security team.  Send a request using Recover  my Account at this bottom of the link below.  It will ask for a copy of your driver's license.  It will take about 24 hours to get it done and might take longer if you do on a weekend.
