Accepted means your return was received and the initial inspection (for example, the date of birth matched,social security numbers matched, dependents haven't been claim, etc) was passed. After the intitial inspection, the IRS will then do a deeper inspection for other errors, owed debts, etc. If there are no issues, the IRS will approve the refund and provide you with an extimated refund date. To check your Filing Instruction page, please follow these steps:
- Log into your TurboTax account
- Scroll to the bottom of page, click Add a State( you are not adding a state, this is just to get in the right menu)
- Over to the left, click Tax Tools dropdown
- Click the Print Center
- Click the Print, save or preview this year's return
- Check 2018 Federal tax returns or check 2018 (name of your state) tax return to view the state Filing instructions
- Select Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional)
- Then,click View or print forms, and the Filing Instructions page will be the very first page, read the entire page carefully. What you need to mail will be listed by What you need to mail.
