I need help filing an extension

It is too late to file an extension. The extension deadline was April 18. If you have taxes due, file your return and pay as quickly as possible to reduce the penalties for late filing and late payment and interest. 

If you are getting a refund, no extension is needed and there are not consequences from filing after the deadline.
