Hi - I'm still not seeing where I can add form 4547 to my return.  I have two children born prior to 2025, but they both do qualify under the Dell gift/contribution.  I am not receiving a prompt or any way to add the form to my return.  Please advise, thanks!

The prompt to add Form 4547 to your return will not appear until the final stages of filing and after you have entered your direct deposit info and after the "Review Your Federal Filing Choices screen."

Form 4547 is used to initiate the "Trump Account", with contributions that will start in July 2026.  The Trump Account is for children under 18 with a valid SSN. The contribution is a $1,000 contribution for children born between Jan 1, 2025, and Dec 31, 2028.

If you cannot add Form 4547 to your return in TurboTax, first, ensure that your TurboTax software is updated.

TurboTax Online updates for new tax laws and other features, but they are done automatically in your web browser. You do not have to manually update like in TurboTax desktop software.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for  your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."

MATTHEWGORLANDO CHANGED THE ORIGINAL QUESTION AFTER THIS REPLY WAS POSTED. SEE BELOW.

This is the TurboTax support forum. You should post your question about Quicken in the Quicken Community.

I'm asking about TurboTax which is why I posted here.

Your original question said "Quicken." You edited your question to say "TurboTax" after I posted my first reply.

Form 4547 is tentatively expected to by available in TurboTax on January 14. That date is subject to change, especially since the IRS has not yet published Form 4547 and its instructions.
