Are you using the TurboTax online web-based editions or the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions installed on a personal computer?

If the online editions, did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?  If so, there is a $40 service charge for that option.

There are no e-file fees when using the TurboTax online editions, Federal or State.  The TurboTax online account fees are for the use of the software to assist you in completing a tax return.  The account fees are the same whether the tax return is e-filed or printed for mailing.
