I heard that by marking 'final' on my extended tax return Form 568 for 2021 due on the 15th, I can discontinue business in California and not have to pay for the Annual Tax in 2022 - which is currently past due at $850+. All I will have to pay for is the annual tax in CA from 2021, which is currently past due. Is that true? And if so, is this the correct question to mark? My dilemma is, I don't want to end my business, but I do want to domesticate/convert it to another state - while not paying for the 2022 annual tax with California. How can this be done exactly? Thank youuuuu!

They will not give me a call appropriately anymore since the one time they did I was on another call I had been waiting for. I had to pick up. Thought I could just reschedule or rearrange with turbotax, but noooo. Whenever they make that call to me they have a bot say this is the last call we will make to you and hang up.
