Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Is there a way to input directly onto the government forms. If not can I make edits directly on the forms? My entries are not flowing through as I would want.

In TurboTax Online there is no way to make entries or edits directly on the forms. The CD or download TurboTax software has a forms mode that allows you to make or change entries on the forms. However, it's not clear what you mean by "not flowing through as I would want." There is probably a good reason that TurboTax is doing whatever it is doing. Before you start changing entries on the forms, make sure you have a thorough understanding of what you are doing and why TurboTax works the way it does.

Thank you.  I did find the Forms mode and that was a big help.  It was difficult inputting the data in one section and then looking at the forms and not getting what I expected.

The biggest difficulty was TurboTax kept putting my wife's fixed cash payment for farmland rental income on Schedule E and again on Schedule F.  I never could figure out how to correct that so I just did a manual override.

Thanks again.

An override can cause the automatic calculations in TurboTax to break in unexpected ways, even in places that you might think are unrelated to the override. Also, an override prevents e-filing and cancels the accurate calculations guarantee. You shouldn't need an override. You might want to post a new question specifically about the farmland rental appearing on two schedules and see if someone can help you straighten it out, or call TurboTax support for help. You might simply have answered a question incorrectly in the Step-by-Step interview, but this is an area that I'm not familiar with.

If you do post another question, please be sure to correctly indicate what product you are using. When you posted this question you indicated that you are using TurboTax Online Free Edition. (See the product indicator to the right of your display name at the top of the question.) But that is obviously not true, since you have forms mode. You will get more reliable answers if you provide accurate information.
