Is the information on Form 1098 used when getting 1099-INT information

There would not be any relationship between the two forms. Form 1098 is what the mortgage holder uses to report how much mortgage interest you paid the mortgage holder on the mortgage on your home. A 1099-INT reports interest income you received from a financial institution.

No, Form 1098 is not related to Form 1099-INT.  Form 1098 reports mortgage interest you paid.  Form 1099-INT reports interest income you received.
