IRS PIN update error msg work around

I went to the other tax situation tab and scrolled down to the update IRS PIN button. When I pushed it, I got an error message saying - Hmmmm we seem to have hit a snag, review what you last worked on...... I went back throughout the whole federal return, including the review function that found no errors, and still got that error message.

I called tech support and while they were researching the problem, I clicked on the forms tab( upper right of screen) which took me to the worksheet that has a field for the IRS PIN. It was highlighted. I put the PIN in the field and went back to the step by step function to complete filing. I finished the procedure to file and it gave me the option to save a pre filing copy of the return. I saved a PDF. I pulled up the saved PDF return and scrolled down the return to where the IRS PIN field is on the return. The PIN I input was there. Problem solved.
