The best way to get a payment plan for your federal income tax is to apply online at the following link on the IRS web site. The various options are explained under "What does it cost?"

    Yes, thank you.  I was there.  The high fees, whether through bank account or debit card, surprised me and I wanted to make sure there wasn't a more cost effective route.
