IP PIN

Ok my return was rejected for ---no PIN on the 1st person filing- so went into my ID.me file and found the new pin and have entered it. It shows my wife below mine and did not have a IP PIN for her. Can my return be accepted now that the 1st person's IP PIN has been entered?

The other listed responses don't have a joint filing answer on the requirement as to if 1 is good enough. Thank you

IP PIN

The requirement for an IP PIN is not based on whether you are filing jointly. The requirement is determined separately for each person. If the IRS gave your wife an IP PIN you have to enter it on your joint tax return. If the IRS did not give your wife an IP PIN you do not have to enter one for her.
