Hello.  I am doing e-filing but the TurboTax 2022 is still asking for 5 digit self select pin when I need to enter my 6 digit IP Pin. Please help.  Thanks.

To enter a 6 digit IP PIN

    • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
    • Click on Other Tax Situations
    • Scroll down to Other Return Info
    • On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

Or enter ip pin in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ip pin

Thanks. I was able to enter my IP pin # in the Other Tax Situation section.  However, as was before, when I tried to e-file my return, the TurboTax software again asked for my 5 digit self select pin# which the IRS no longer accept.  There was no pulldown selection where I can change it to enter the 6 digit IP Pin #.  I am wondering if this could be an error running TuboTax under the Mac computer.

You can enter any 5 digit self-selected PIN when filing the tax return.  However, you Must enter the correct 2020 AGI to e-file the tax return.

If your tax return continues to be rejected for the 2020 AGI, then try entering a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file again.
