International Student - Ineligible non-resident

I’m an international student, my school suggested that I file with Sprintax. However, Sprintax said that I am not eligible to be a non-resident under my duration of staying in the U.S for more than five years. In this case, can I file my tax by turbotax??

Also I heard that a non-resident cannot claim 1098-T but if I am not eligible a non-resident means resident, can I claim 1098-T??

International Student - Ineligible non-resident

If you've been present in the US on your F visa for more than 5 years, you are generally treated as a resident for tax purposes.  That means that you can use TurboTax and you may be eligible for some education credits.  You will enter the information from your Form 1098-T into TurboTax and answer the other questions related to your education to determine eligibility for credits.
