Your question is unclear.  I don't know what you mean by "common law partner."

If you had a common law marriage, that marriage does not end just because you separated.  You have to follow the laws of your state.  Your state might allow you to end the marriage using some simple procedure, or you might be required to get a regular legal divorce.  If you are legally married as of 12/31/22, you must file as married filing jointly or married filing separately, and if you file separately, you are required to provide your spouse's name and SSN.  Your spouse requires the same from you.  If you can't get that information, you can get around it but you have to file by mail, you can't e-file.

If you had a registered domestic partnership, that is not a legal marriage, and you are considered unmarried or single by the IRS.  Your status in your state will depend on state laws about dissolving RDPs.

Can you provide more information?

And one more thing,

If your partner covered you under their medical insurance (or you covered your partner under your insurance) and you had a federal subsidy for a marketplace plan ("Obamacare") then you might be asked more information about their income to determine your eligibility for the subsidy.

@5194763 You mentioned your partner and a SIN  number----Social Insurance Number?  Are you in Canada?
