Importing two prior year tax returns into one new married filing jointly file

Is it possible to import two prior year tax files into one filing for the current year? My spouse and I were single last year, and now are married filing jointly. 

I can only seem to import one of our prior year filings to start the new married filing jointly file.

it can't be done. 

use the most complicated 2020 return to import into 2021. then you'll have to check to see if anything from the other return needs to be transferred.

What a basic feature that needs to be available. Ridiculous.  Spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to ask this question and the "help" person had no clue as to what I was even asking.  Might be time to switch Tax softwares.
