Importing last year return is giving an error sound

Just started my 2025 return (Mac, desktop). When prompted to import last year's (".tax2024") information, I get a "boing" sound when selecting the file and hitting "continue" - but nothing is getting imported, no error message, just the sound.

How do I fix this?

Ran into the same problem today on my Mac running 26.1.  Tried copying last year's return to desktop as indicated in a thread from last year but that failed too!
