Importing from a financial institution?

I have (or thought I had) imported data from two financial institutions (Baird and Ameriprise) but the data has not shown up! The process is a little different this year. one is directed away from TT, the necessary identifiers input. The screen goes all wavy while the transfer is happening then it says something to the effect that TT has our data and we can return to TT. In my case, nothing shows up in my return! I have imported from Baird before but not Ameriprise. The Baird identifiers are familiar. I have had dialogue with AI help. They talked about the import file may be corrupt (but how would I ever find out about that)? They also said to ensure my software is up to date, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and updated - no dice!

Is this a problem with the program this year? How do I reach the conclusion I must manualy input?

Importing from a financial institution?

Some customers will need to allow the Intuit site permission to access your local network.

If you have already denied permission, you will need to reset it.

In Chrome, you can do this by clicking on the View Site Information icon to the left of the address bar.  Turn on Local Network Access.

See Doug4 answer for details.

I wanted to be sure I have said "thank you" for this response. also, to George who seemed to manage to work it out for himself! I have now imported my data.

Respectfully I would argue that TT should have included more help into the program itself, since this is a process change from previous years. A simple statement in the window telling of the tab opening which warned to be sure you are connected to your home network would have been very helpful to me!

Even with your help I had to go through the process itself to the point where it tells you it will open a tab in the default browser before I could do what you advised. I could not do it ahead!

Anyway, thank you again.
