importing from 2021 to 2022 for mac not working

I used Turbo Tax 2021 on my mac last year and have the .tax2021 file.  When I import my tax2021 file into TT 2022 I don't see any errors, but no data is transferred.  My mac is running macos Venture 13.2.1.

I've updated TurboTax 2022 and double checked that I could still open my tax2021 file with TT 2021 and that works.  So, there doesn't appear to be a problem with the file just a problem with TT 2022 importing the data.

wrong terminology. you do not import from 2021. as you are starting 2022 before you enter any 2022 data you'll be asked about transferring from 2021 that's when you agree and if the program can't find the  XXXXX.tax2021 file you browse to get to where it's at. then the data from 2021 should transfer to 2022. once you start 2022 transferring is no longer possible. if you want that info you have to start over

You are correct - I was referring to transfer not import. 

The resolution was to make a copy of my tax2021 file.  I saw a suggestion in another post that I could "save as" in TT2021 - but didn't have a "save as" in Mac version so I just made a copy of the file.  This solved the problem for me.
