Importing Capital Gains and Losses

I’m having difficulty importing capital gains and losses from financial institutions. I have successfully imported several 1099-DIV’s and that brought in all the normal 1099-DIV information but it doesn’t seem to be importing detailed capital gain and loss transactions to populate form 8949 which will then transfer to schedule D. Is there a different process for importing detailed capital gain and loss data?
