Import Problem

I am trying to import my Merrill Lynch financial information. I have  Financial Advisor account and therefore, as just explained to me by Merrill Lynch, the only Turbo Tax selection for import (Merrill Lynch - Merrill Edge) is for lesser accounts. There appears to be no mechanism in Turbo Tax for me to import my Merrill Lynch financial information. How do I do that?

Did you check your Merrill Lynch account settings?

Another possible workaround on this would be to update your settings in your Fidelity online account to allow the import. Without updating the settings, it's possible the banking authority is blocking TurboTax from accessing the account. Please update these settings from your account online.  You may need to call in your bank or company to get more information on this.

If this one does not work, you would have to manually enter, unfortunately.

I am having the same issue trying to import data from Merrill Lynch into Turbo Tax Delux for 2021 tax year.  I get an error message that says "Invalid Transaction ID"  I was on the phone for a long time with ML and they could not find any settings that would not allow Turbo tax to import the data from our accounts.

It could be a couple of possibilities. One is that the password was entered incorrectly, you will need to grant third-party access for Turbo Tax to import. Also, it could be that there are too many individual transactions to import as the limit is 1500.

You may have to manually enter it in.

Please refer to these Turbo Tax articles for additional assistance.
