Import from 2015 return

Downloaded and installed 2016 deluxe, but it did not provide the option to import data from my 2015 TurboTax return. Under the "file" tab there is an import option, but none of the three options offer importing from my 2015 return.

Import means from an outside source, such as  a bank or brokerage firm.

Transfer means from one year's tax return to another. See this.

Did you use the Desktop program last year also?  Or the Online version?  You need to have the file ending in .tax2015 to Transfer into 2016.  Do you have that file on your computer?  If you have it then start a new 2016 return and the first thing it should do is find all the 2015 returns and ask if you want to Transfer it.  If it doesn't find your 2015 return you can browse to it.
