I am using desktop turbotax deluxe. When I try to import a doccument, it opens a tab on my browser and after logging in, I get a message that the import was successful and to return to Turbo tax. However the turbotax screen still shows two options: skip import or continue. If I hit continue, it goes into a loop, opening a tab again and asking me to log in. If I hit skip, those documents don't show up

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.
