If your MA state tax return was e-filed and accepted you do not need to file an extension even though your payment has not been debited from your account. The extension is only an extension of time to file. It does not impact when your payment is due. Since you filed timely and initiated your payment before the due date you will be considered to have paid timely even if the payment is not processed today.
