I filed my IL tax return electronically. Do I still need to mail in the return with a check since I owe?

If you filed electronically and did not give a routing and account number, which allows the IRS to directly debit the amount you owe from your checking account, then you will need to mail a check.

When you mail your check in, be sure to put your social security number on it so that it will be credited to the right account.  You should not need to mail in a copy of your already filed tax return.
