If you are a Schedule C filer or a Partnership, social security is credited to you (based on the net profit of the business) via self-employment taxes. If you filed a Schedule C, you will see Schedule SE included within your taxes.
If you are set up as another business type (such as an SCorp), you pay into Social Security via the payroll taxes on the salary that you would be required to take.
