If we filed jointly last year and received a State refund, but want to file married but separate this year do we have to show the refund on both returns or just one?

If we filed jointly last year and received a State refund, but want to file married but separate this year do we have to show the refund on both returns or just one?
You would split it and put half of the refund on each return. Both of your names were on the refund, so the IRS will understand what you are doing.
