Are you filing your tax return by mail?  If you are and you keep getting "returned to sender" you are using an incorrect mailing address.   This link Where To Mail Federal IRS Tax Returns?  will provide you with the IRS address when you click on your state.  If you need additional help post a reply to this thread.

Similar problem: I e-filed, but had to mail a form 8453 to

IRS

Attn: Shipping and Receiving, 0254

Receipt and Control Branch

Auxtin, TX 73344

as specified by both TurboTax and by the IRS documentation.

It came back marked "return to sender."

Did this happen to anybody else? Anyone know why this happened?

The address you have listed above is correct.

Mailing addresses for IRS

I would recommend trying to send it again by certified mail to ensure that you receive a receipt of proof of delivery or at least have proof that you tried to deliver the form.

You can also try reaching out to the IRS directly using the link below.
