We understand you are having an experience with entering your AGI. Please follow the instructions to find Last year's AGI. If this does not resolve your issue, what is the exact message you are getting?

The correct AGI is the one on the originally filed return, so if you amended and changed the AGI, you would need to still use the 1st AGI

Your 2019 AGI is on Line 8b on Form 1040 and 1040-SR

If you used TurboTax for 2019, you can login to the same account and look at your 2019 return.

Go to Tax Home
Then at bottom of page, click Your Tax Returns and Document
Select 2019 and then view the pdf and find your AGI on Form 1040 or 1040 SR, line 8b.

Sometimes the IRS database does not match the AGI number that TurboTax has.  That can happen when you file an amendment.  This year it is also happening because the IRS is so far behind with processing 2019 returns due to the time they lost when agents could not come to work due to COVID-19.

There are two ways to work around this.

First try to file with zero in the 2019 AGI field.

If that is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to efile with no AGI question.
