If I used the disc last year from the store and this year am planning on downloading, will I be able to easily transfer my last years or will I need to input the data?

Yes.  TurboTax desktop software CD and download are essentially the same product.  So long as your prior year tax return is saved on your computer and can be imported into TurboTax software, you should not have any problems transferring prior year information to your current year return.
