Yes, stipends are considered taxable income.  To report Stipend Income in TurboTax, follow these steps:

 

  1. Login to TurboTax
  2. Select Less Common Income
  3. Select Miscellaneous Income 
  4. Select Other Reportable Income
  5. Select Yes for Did you receive other reportable income
  6. Enter description and amount for Stipend
