If I install updates on my 2016 turbo tax software, will I still be able to file my 2016 return?

Or will it update to 2018. I cancelled the update cause I need the 2016 software. I already purchased a 2018.?

Yes, if you install the updates, you can file your 2016 tax return. It will not update to 2018.

With all the changes to the tax laws each year, each program is separate.
