If I had a baby in 2018 should I not get the full child credit no matter when they were born?
When child credit amount appeared and stated I wasn't getting full amount the prompts said because he didn't live with me for more than 6months how do I change it to he lived with me the entire year?

Correct. You'll say that your child lived with you the whole year

In TurboTax Online, go to My Info on the left side menu then find your child's name and click Edit. You'll go through just a few screens to make the change.
