6-8 weeks total turn around if you mail and the IRS mails you a check. Your online IRS return status should be visible within 4 weeks of mailing your return in.
However, if you mail your return, but opt for direct deposit, you could see your refund in 2-4 weeks.
If you Efile, and opt for the IRS to mail you a check, 2-3 weeks is the time frame stated by the IRS.
