self-employment income reported on schedule C.
I selected other self-employed income and then when I am prompted to enter the dollar amount it also asks for type of income (ex: cash or checks or 1099-K). I did a direct-deposit transfer which does this qualify as?
Unless the income is reported specifically on a 1099-NEC (or, perhaps, a 1099-MISC, but not a 1099-K), then any other forms of income you received can be reported as "cash receipts". All that box means is that you are reporting income that is essentially not being reported as contractor income, but is supported by your own receipts and invoices.
