If a payment is included with a federal extension and the extension is rejected, does the IRS still process the payment?

I included banking information to pay tax due with my extension, but the extension was rejected.  Wondering if the IRS will still process the payment or if I have to resubmit banking info with my next extension request.

When  the extension is rejected,  the payment is rejected.
