I wonder if TurboTax filled out form 8962 by accident? I don't think I have had that form in my finished taxes anytime in the past, now the IRS has questions about it.

Can anyone inform me on form 8962? Maybe, because I went on Medicare late last year and my wife stayed on Marketplace health insurance, somehow that activated form 8962? Anyone familiar with this activation of the form?

since your wife (and maybe you too) were on Marketplace insurance, you should have gotten form 1095-A. That should have led to the completion of form 8962 in the medical section of Turbotax.  we would need to know what the IRS notice asks to provide additional guidance. Omit any personal info, and post back in the thread so we can follow what took place.
