I wasn't asked for my bank numbers when filing.

I chose E-File, but I never had to enter my banking routing number and whatnot. What happens now?

Once your e-filed return has been accepted, it's too late to update your bank account. TurboTax will use the bank account information from the previous tax year if you filed with us in the past. If that bank account is closed or no longer active, the government will send you a refund by check.

Instead, call the IRS e-file Payment Services right away at 1-888-353-4537 – they're open 24/7.
