I was issued a W2-G at time of sweepstakes winning. Company also issued me a 1099-misc. Which one do i claim?
I won a sweepstakes and received a W2-g with my winnings. I have all of this entered on my 2016 Tax return Form. I recieved a 1099-Misc from the same company last month. Do i need to enter the 1099? Wouldn't it be double dipping?
The W2-G has federal and state taxes on it. The 1099 shows the same total tax amount but doesn't have the tax breakdown.

Congratulations on your win!
If the W-2G contained the entire amount of the winnings, do not include the information from the 1099. Just keep it with your tax documents. If you receive a letter from the IRS asking about the 1099, just explain that it duplicated the W-2G.
