I want to add a state return to my already completed and IRS accepted federal return. It says that it wants to file them together. I do not want to refile federal.

It's asking me to file them together, I don't want to file my federal again, it has alread been accepted by the irs.

No, don't re-file your federal income tax return. Uncheck the box next to E-file federal. Please see the TurboTax FAQ How do I e-file my state after I already filed my federal?
