I used turbo tax Deluxe sftware last year. After I filed I had to do a 1040X. can I import last years data?

If you used TurboTax software last year, AND you used it to amend your return, you would import the data. 

If you used TurboTax software last year and you computed the amended return (1040X) on paper, independent of the TurboTax software, the data imported will be incorrect. 

You can input the amended information in your 2017 tax year return and then import the data. 

If you import the data as it is now, you will have to know what changed and how to adjust for the changes. 

The biggest concern would be if there are and carry-forwards and/or the refunds and tax reported on the original return.
