I typed my EIN incorrectly in my 2017 Schedule C. IRS has contacted saying I have unreported 1099s for the EIN I entered, but not mine. No impact to taxes. What to do?

It was just a typo of one digit in the EIN. Non of the 1099s are mine.

Then please respond back with the proof of your error ... send a copy of the EIN acceptance notice to support your assertion they are not yours ... be clear and brief ... the IRS computer is the one who caught the "mismatch" and now politely ask a human to review the situation. This may be able to be fixed with a simple phone call ... if there a number on the CP2000 ?
