I turned 20 in December and worked a full time job. Made over $38,000. I paid over $5,000 in federal taxes and am only getting $1,300 back, why is that?

Were you claimed as anyone else's dependent?

Unless you have dependents of your own, you are too young for EIC.  Did you have any 2019 income besides wages?
