Here is more information about the Air Conditioner Credit if it applies:Yes, your central air conditioner may qualify for the Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit.

Qualifying improvements for the Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit had to be installed in your main home and your main home must have been located in the United States. Energy-efficient improvements made to second homes or vacation homes do not qualify.

Eligible costs include the purchase price and installation charges for

•Efficient heating and air conditioning systems
•Efficient water heaters
•Stoves that run on biomass fuel

To see if you qualify for this credit, start your TurboTax return then
1.Press the TurboTax "Search" button located near the top right of your screen
2.Type "energy improvements" into the search box
3.Click on "Jump to energy improvements" from the dropdown list
4.TurboTax will ask a series of questions to determine if you qualify for this credit

You can also get more information from the IRS at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i5695.pdf

I hope this helps
