I received a W-2 from an employer I haven't worked for in at least 2 years. They sent me an e-mail saying that this was an error on their part and will be sending me a W-2c. Well, I have yet to receive this W-2c do I need to wait till I receive this form to file? And when I file should I even file the error W-2 with the W-2c amendment?

No it shouldn't affect your 2023 return. Go ahead and file 2023. When you get the W2c post what is changed. You may have to amend that year or not. Some changes won't affect your return.
No, you don't need to wait for the corrected W-2 to file because you said you haven't worked for that employer in two years. The corrected W-2 will more than likely be from a previous year, and if the information is different, you will have to amend the year that the corrected W-2 is for.
If you have to amend a tax return, refer to the TurboTax article How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS.
